The influence from power plant smoke dust emission standard, the kinds of coal, characteristics of fly ash and boiler operation to the overall design of electrostatic precipitator has been studied. Optimal selection has been proceed to the main technique parameter in overall design, such as the gas velocity, plate spacings, wire spacings, migration velocity and so on. The optimal lectotype of entity structure in the condition of flue gas with high specific resistivity and high dust concentration has been studied. Optimal wire spacings, windproof electrodes and wire-plate matching of lower backcorona had been presented through the experiments. The proper rapping period of different dust concentration and different electrical field has been recommended by calculation. The classification of energy consumptions by current supply has been analyzed based on the theory, and the directions and measures of efficiency-improving and energy-saving on high voltage power supply has been presented, these offers certain experience for the design and operation of electrostatic precipitator.
