To control the gas explosion accident's happening is a problem urgently to be solved in safety production of coal mine, and study on the gas explosion characteristics and their influence factors is the basis of that problem. On the basis of thermal explosion theory and branch chain explosion theory, the temperature, the pressure and the coal dust density to gas explosion limit single factor influence experiment and three outside factors coupling orthogonal experiment have been carried on. The test results show that along with the ascension of initial temperature and initial pressure the gas explosion upper limit rise, the detonation lower limit reduce, the upper limit change scope is bigger than the lower limit, the gas with small particle size coal dust that contains volatile matter in it is easier to explode than pure gas. The test results also show that the coal dust dispersion is the most important factor to the gas explosion limit, the second is the temperature, the last is the pressure. Finally the values of chemical reaction speed, explosion pressure and density along with the time in the gas explosion process have been simulated.
