It is of great significance to study the explosion characteristics and explosion suppression of zinc dust for industrial dust explosion protection.Dust explosion is a focal problem in industrial development.For zinc dust,its explosion risk exists in the process of production,storage,transportation and so on.China is a major producer and consumer of zinc in the world.It is of practical significance to carry out research on zinc dust explosion.At present,there are few studies on the explosion characteristics of zinc dust.And the study of zinc dust explosion on a set of devices has rarely been reported.Based on the above situation,this paper takes zinc dust as the research object.By using the 20L spherical explosion test device to study zinc dust explosion.This paper studies the effect of dust concentration,ignition energy and dust particle size on the Pmax and the?dp/dt?maxax as well as the effect of explosion suppression of different explosion suppressants on zinc dust explosion.It can provide some references for mastering the regularity of zinc dust explosion and preventing and controlling its explosion hazard.The main results of the paper are as follows:?1?Dust particle size,dust concentration and ignition energy are all factors affecting the explosion characteristics of zinc dust.Pmax and?dp/dt?max increase with the decrease of particle size of dust.Pmax and?dp/dt?max increase first and then decrease with the increase of dust concentration.When the dust concentration is 1300g/m3,the two can reach the maximum.Pmaxax and?dp/dt?max increase with the increase of ignition energy.?2?The experimental results show that the explosion suppressant NaCl,CaCO3,Al?OH?3,NaHCO3,SiO2 and NH4H2PO4 have a certain inhibitory effect on the explosion of zinc dust,and the effect of explosion suppression is related to the amount of addition.When the addition of explosion suppressant is 100g/m3,200g/m3,300g/m3,400g/m3 and 500g/m3,the maximum explosion pressure decreases in turn.The decreasing amplitude of Al?OH?3,NaCl,CaCO3 and NaHCO3 is relatively large at the corresponding concentration,and the effect of explosion suppression is relatively good.?3?The explosion suppressant NaCl and Al?OH?3 can completely suppress the zinc dust explosion at the concentration of 200g/m3.CaCO3 and NaHCO3 can completely suppress the zinc dust explosion at the concentration of 300g/m3 and 400g/m3.SiO2 and NH4H2PO4 can completely suppress the zinc dust explosion at the concentration of 500g/m3.The effect of explosion suppression is enhanced During the experimental study,when the mass ratio of CaCO3 and Al?OH?3,NaHCO3 and Al?OH?3 is 1:9,the effect of explosion suppression is the best.When the mass ratio of NaCl and Al?OH?3,NaCl and CaCO3,NaCl and NaHCO3,CaCO3and NaHCO3 is 9:1,the effect of explosion suppression is the best.When the mass ratio of NaCl and Al?OH?3 is 9:1,the test value for?Pmax of mixed explosion suppressant is greater than the cumulative value.It shows that both of them may show synergistic synergism.
