Starch wastewater is a kind of high concentrated organic wastewater, which containshigh concentrated SO42-,SO32-, which are hard to be biodegraded. In this thesis, starchwastewater of certain factory was treated by "Upflow Anaerobic Sludge BlanketReactor(UASB)—Bio-converter—Organism Contact-Oxidizing".The experimental results showed: the largely industrialized UASB reactor realizedquickly starting by the moving style of low concentration, high hydraulic loading and batchinfluent, when influent COD was 8052mg/L, the volumetric COD loading rate reached to4.03 kgCOD/(m3·d), COD removal rate was up to 94.8%. Sludges were quickly granulatedin the UASB reactor, the volumetric COD loading rate reached to 10.02kgCOD/(m3·d),COD removal rate was up to 89.4% and the enduring ability for disadvantageously runningcondition was strengthened obviously. Physico-chemical property and oxidation-reductionpotential of effluent of UASB could be improved, inhibiting influence on aerobic treatmentsubsequently such as sulphide of fluent, etc could be dispelled by the biologictransformation device, when DO was 1.4~1.6 mg/L, the concentration of sulfide wasdropped from 54 mg/L to 2.6mg/L, removal rate was up to 95.2%. which had improvedthe moving state of aerobic treatment, increased depurative efficiency of wastewaterdisposal, made COD removal rate of the treatment system be up to 98.7%, and COD was100mg/L. The total investment of the project was 2,150,000yuan, the income and expensesfrom the project could keep their balance, the charge of wastewater disposal was1.24yuan/m3.
