Wet dust catcher has some advantages of simple structure,cheapness and the ability to remove some deleterious gas.So it is widely used for dust removing in power plant,boiler and mine.But the efficiency of wet dust catcher to remove some dust which can't be wetted effectively and respirable dust is low.So the self-swash dust catcher using PAM complex as its'washing liquid to improve the efficiency of removing respirable dust and reduceing the resistance was studied.Polyacrylamide is a type of water-soluble macromolecule with some good properties of flocculability,drag reduction and adsorption capability on every type of interface,so it is widely used. In order to improve the property of polyacrylamide, a complex of polyacrylamide and other surfactant was used usually in practically.Single factor experiment and orthogonal test was designed to make a complex of PAM and sodium dioctylsulfosuccinate(AOT).Surface tension of PAM complex solution, wetting time of dust and contact angle was tested.The PAM complex with good wetting ability to dust was made out by analysing the experimental results with analytic hierarchy process method and range analysis method.The dust removing efficiency, fractional collection efficiency and resistance of self-swash dust catcher using PAM complex,AOT and water at different balanceable-water level was studied.The results show that dust removing efficiency especially respirable dust removing efficiency was improved remarkablely by using PAM complex.When the bananceable-water level is lcm,the efficiency of self-dust catcher to remove the dust whose diameter is less than 5μm is 95.58%,compared with 89.88% by using water.Dust removing efficiency was shot up with balanceable-water level increasing.The improvement of dust removing efficiency was little,but the resistance of self-swash dust catcher and the drop in the gas increased a lot when the balanceable-water level exceeded 10cm,which increased the running cost and difficulty of removing the drop in gas.So the balanceable-water level isn'suitable to exceeded 10cm.The resistance of self-swash dust catcher using PAM complex is much lower than using water at the same balanceable-water level.The result of economic analysis shows that the consumption of self-swash dust catcher using PAM complex is much lower than using water,so this techonogy's applied prospects are very broad.
