The gas release performance of forming material, such as casting resin sand, in the process of casts pouring and solidification, which is very important for cast manufacture whether is good quality or bad. In foundry business, the technological index of cast products, such as quality, waste ratio, end product ratio and so on, which closely related to the gas release performance of various forming sand. Therefore, it's essential that how to measure gas volume of forming material.This paper firstly introduces overall design draft and composed modular of the intelligence foundry sand gas-forming property testing machine, and then analyzes the tester's principle in the detail, and studies specific improvement scheme of the tester on the basis of previous analysis, including the improvement of hardware and software. The author design and analyze control process which make the tester hold constant temperature with fuzzy control principle in this paper, and establish a fuzzy control simulation environment with MATLAB fuzzy control box, the results indicated that this paper's method is more intelligent and more precise comparison on the traditional control way. At the same time, the author compensate the time delay of system making use of Smith predict estimation device, and raise new improvement measurement including multiple control and fuzzy identification. Finally the author do research on the virtual instrument technology of tester temperature control, and make simulation and interface design with LabVIEW8.2 PID toolkits, which indicate that the design is practicable.
