It can provide reliable data to evaluate petroleum hydrocarbon pollution's damage to the sea fishery and the marine ecology that study on toxic effect and mechanism of petroleum hydrocarbon pollution to marine organisms.There is still without standardized species for the biological monitoring of marine pollution.In this paper, choosing hemicentrotus pulcherrimus as the test species,the study on toxic effect of petroleum hydrocarbon pollution to hemicentrotus pulcherrimus provides an effective method for the marine environment monitoring.The acute toxicity test of the disperse solution and emulsion of 0#diesel oil,marine diesel oil,marine fuel oil to the young hemicentrotus pulcherrimus and the impact test of the three oil dispersion solution to the hemicentrotus pulcherrimus fertilization rate shows us as follows:the young sea urchin 96h LC50 in the disperse solution of 0#diesel oil,marine diesel oil,marine fuel oil is 9.5mg/L,11.4 mg/L,7.5 mg/L respectively;96h LC50 in the emulsion of the 0# diesel oil,marine diesel oil,marine fuel oil is 5.1mg/L, 8.9 mg/L,12.6 mg/L respectively;egg fertilization rate 30minEC50 in the disperse solution of the 0#diesel oil,marine diesel oil,marine fuel oil is 0.86mg/L,2.26 mg/L, 3.30 mg/L respectively;Sperm fertilization rate 30minEC50 is 1.57 mg/L,2.02 mg/L, 2.60mg/L.The toxicity of oil emulsion and dispersion is determined by its composition of aromatic hydrocarbon and substituted complex.The percentages of aromatic hydrocarbon and substituted complex in dispersion of 0#diesel,marine diesel and marine fuel oil is about 22.1%,18.2%,11.3%respectively,while in emulsion of the three oils is about 63.2%,32.4%,28.1%respectively,so,the toxicity order of the 0#diesel oil,marine diesel oil,marine fuel oil is 0# diesel oil>marine diesel oil>marine fuel oil,and for the same oil,the toxicity order is emulsion>disperse solution,which is the same with the test results.The 0# diesel oil disperse solution and emulsion makes effect on the activity of antioxidant enzymes-SOD/CAT.In the low,middle and high concentrations 0#diesel oil disperse solution and emulsion,activity of antioxidant enzymes of hemicentrotus pulcherrimus's digestive gland,gonads,body fluid basically shows the trend of first increase and then decrease,which means the induction of the lower concentration 0# diesel oil disperse solution and emulsion to hemicentrotus pulcherrimus antioxidant system and the inhibition of the higher concentrations 0# diesel oil disperse solution and emulsion to hemicentrotus pulcherrimus antioxidant system.
