Xifeng Oilfield lies in Qingyang, Gansu province. With the deeper exploitation to oilfield, total production capacity of the major areas, including middle Baima area, southern Baima area and Dongzhi area, can reach 283.2×10~4t/a. Therein, the production capacity has reached 87.4×10~4t/a during the years 2002~2004. The gathering system and the water injection system are important components of the surface engineering to enlarge production capacity, the research of optimized design of which is important to both economic benefit and future operation of the pipe network..As for oil and gas gathering system, in order to increase entire benefit of oilfield development, it is supposed to pay attention to the infrastructure of oilfield, to investigate the general plan of surface works, and to optimize the pipeline network of gathering system. Then we can provide a scientific and quick tool for macrodecision-making of oilfield development and achieve a layout scheme of pipeline network with minimum cost, then reduce the investment of oilfield development and improve the economical efficiency of development. The content of this paper is to optimize the gathering scheme in Jiyuan area with optimization theory, to choose the optimal gathering scheme with optimization theory and without changing main gathering pattern.Water injection technique develops gradually with the deeper exploitation to oilfield. Optimization research to the layout of oilfield water injection system belongs to imitation optimization research field of oilfield ground project. Comparable perfect layout of the system can lead to less construction and circulate cost. First of all, network of the water injection system is depicted by usage of related theories; basic mathematical models of the composing elements as well as holistic model are established and analyzed. For the parameter optimization of the pipeline network, mathematical model for parameter optimization is made up with convert annual cost as its objective function by analysing constraint condition and constituting the formula of cost of the pipe network. As to the characteristic of the model itself, related arithmetic and methods about normalization of pipe diameters is researched in detail.
