In recent years, the paper machines with the characteristics of large-scale, high-speed and automation have more and more been equipped in Chinese paper-making industry. Application of oil analysis technique can predict the performance of lubricating oil and the deterioration process of some key components of paper machine so as to take countermeasure of the improvement, and generate significant economic benefits. At present, there is no a systematic study on this aspect in Chinese counterparts, therefore, the systematic study of oil analysis technology based on the characteristics of dryer section in paper machine was done in this paper, and this would promote this technology's development and application in China's paper industry.Theoretically, some common methods of oil analysis technology and the research and application of domestic and foreign oil analysis technology were analyzed; the measures of the monitoring of dryer section lubrication system were discussed; the comment on the methods and results of the oil product detection was taken; the control of the key control parameters of dryer section lubrication system was studied; Finally, characteristics of the wear debris of rolling bearing in the running-in, normal wear fatigue and failure stages was analyzed by means of ferrography technology.The results were as follows:(1) The application of oil analysis techniques combined with vibration, noise, temperature and other common methods can effectively improve the predictability of equipment failures, accuracy and betimes.(2) Enhancing the lubricating oil viscosity, moisture, acid value, such as conventional physical and chemical monitoring can alter the mode of the from regular to the oil change by the quality of the oil. In addition,the control of lubricant cleanliness is the main content of detection of the paper machine's dryer section lubrication system.(3) An experiment of lubricant viscosity indicates that the oil temperature should be controlled between 45℃and 50℃,the water content should be controlled below 7%.(4) As the running-in, normal wear fatigue and failure stage of the rolling bearings can be distinguished by the change in the volume and shape of the wear debris, the fatigue failure process of rolling bearings can be effectively monitored.
