Synthetic detergent wastewater had complicated composition, and the main pollutant was anionic surfactant (LAS). Synthetic detergent wastewater had the characteristics of high COD, poor biodegradability, foaming, and stronger toxic and so on, and was difficult to treat. Based on the field work and consulting data, the test used the "ABR- biological contact oxidation" combined process to treat the synthetic detergent wastewater. In the test, used the anaerobic granular sludge cultured in the laboratory as the inoculation sludge of ABR, and used aerobic sludge fed from the end of oxidation ditch of Beishiqiao sewage treatment plants. In the test, the start-up of ABR and Biological Contact Oxidation was studied respectively, and the operation parameters were optimized, and achieved the treatment of synthetic detergent wastewater using "ABR- biological contact oxidation" combined process ultimately. The test results showed that, in the conditions of COD 1500mg/L and LAS 150mg/L, the system should supple nitrogen source according to he ration of COD:N=60:1. The best HRT of the combined process was 36h, ABR and Biological Contact Oxidation was 24h and 12h respectively. The temperature of ABR was 30-35℃; the DO and the dosing quantity of biological nutrient of Biological Contact Oxidation were 4.0-5.0mg/L and 3-5mg/L. In the conditions, COD and LAS of effluent were lower than 100mg/L and 5mg/L respectively, and effluent quality reachedⅠ-class criteria specified in Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB 8978-1996). Technical and economic analysis showed that, the treating cost was about 2.4363 yuan/m~3, and realized the unity of social benefit, economic benefit and environmental benefit, and had wide development prospects.Based on the test datas, the dynamic model of ABR was (?);thesubstrate (LAS) degradation model in the ABR was (?); and the dynamic model of Biological Contact Oxidation was (?).
