System Architecture Design Of Print Digital Workflow

Printing digital workflow is a system and technology of integrated managing image information and production control information in the process of pre-print, print post-print and related processes.Developing printing digital workflow system is complex system engineering. Compared with Traditional methods of software design focusing on specific algorithms and data structures, the method of software architecture is taking more attention on the macro structure and overall performance.In this paper, according the printing digital workflow system features, I offered a five-views architecture description method based on UML, which describes the function features and soft architecture with functional view, structure view, process view, data view and physical view. Function view and structural view define system's main business functions and the "large granular" system structure. Process view describes the dynamic process from the creation of the printing job to a finished product. Data view describes data's generation, transmission, use and storage. Physical view describes the printing digital workflow system hardware configuration.Next, in support of the analysis of system architecture, the paper mainly discussed three parts of printing digital workflow structure. Based on the analysis of JDF format, this article offered a printing job description model based on XML and build a XML Schema to describe it, borrowing the idea of resources link process. Secondly, this article designs the database storage plan of printing digital workflow system. Finally, I discuss the calling question between modules in different programming platforms.
