The request to the shape of strip, thickness and so on for the cold rolling is getting more and stricter. The field staff is also expecting the precise cold rolling process parameter for reference. The precise rolling parameter may be obtained through the field experiment. But as a result of the complexity of rolling process, only some apparent parameters can be obtained. It is no way to survey for the most latent parameter related closely to the rolling craft formulation. Therefore obtaining the ideal rolling parameter depends upon the numerical method yet. The roller consumption takes up a large proportion in the steel rolling profession consumption. Therefore, through to cold rolling process numerical simulation, that will also provide the data and reference for studying the roller expiration and the roll campaign.With the aid of ABAQUS, one of the internationally recognized best finite element analysis software, firstly, the finite element model of working roll-rolled piece was established for cold rolling thin steel plate. The dynamic explicit algorithm was used. And the finite element model of working roll-rolled piece was carried on the solution. The finite element dynamic simulation was realized for cold rolling thin steel plate process. Next, taking the finite element model of working roll-rolled piece as a foundation, the superficial axial crack and the link crack were arranged in it separately. The static implicit algorithm was used. The different time stress intensity factor was obtained for the crack in time of working roll rotation lap. The stress intensity factor change rule in the rolling process was analyzed.Through carrying on the process and analysis to the data which obtains to the above finite element numerical simulation, some conclusions and data related with the cold rolling and working roll were obtained. (1) The change relations of the Mises stress and the pressure in the working roll rolling area surface node along with the rolling time assume the weaken sine wave and the weaken saw-tooth wave separately as a whole. They increase obviously when contacting with rolled piece. In the stable rolling stage, the pressure is 360MPa in the middle of the working roll rolling area. (2) In the stable rolling stage, the roll force and roll torque fluctuate in 1209.30t and 3060.50KN·m up and down slightly. (3) The magnitude of friction force in working roll fluctuates in 1353.04KN fiercely. (4) Considers the entire working roll, the contact area in the working roll fluctuates in 26125.80mm2 up and down. If not consider that elastic flattening of working roll, the length of contact arc is 26.13mm approximately. (5) A simple method for solving the stress intensity factor amplitude value△K was given, namely compute the different time stress intensity factor of working roll in time of working roll rotation lap, and then make certain the stress intensity factor amplitude value. The conclusions and data above have certain guiding sense and reference value to the actual production.
