In the plate and strip rolling process, the adjustment process of the gauge will influence the shape. Similarly, the adjustment process of the shape will influence the gauge. Therefore, it is very necessary to study the gauge and shape integrated Control, and it has very important significance to improve product quality and market competitiveness for enterprise. In this paper, 4-High Mill-DC Mill is taken as the research object, to analyze the rolls system deformation characteristics, and to propose gauge and shape control strategy of DC mill for research purposes. The research carried out on the base of the depth analysis of domestic and foreign research status.First, start with the DC mill working principle, analyze the gauge and shape control functions of DC mill, and introduce its main characteristics.Then, according to the rolling characteristics of DC mill, and with the consideration of the rolling friction between work roll and back-up roll, improve the rolls system force model. And use the strip element method and the Stone Formula to analyze the three-dimensional plastic deformation of strip, use the influencing coefficient method to analyze the elastic deformation of rolls system. With coupling of the two theory models, establish the rolls system deformation model, and give out the calculation method of the rolls system deformation, and develop a corresponding flow chart.And then based on the flow chart, use with the FORTRAN language, develop and produce the rolls system deformation calculation program of DC mill, and calculate the rolls system deformation under different conditions, and verify the accuracy of the force model.Finally based on the results calculated by the rolls system deformation program, analyze the influence to gauge and shape by work rolls'offset, cross angle and roll-bending force of DC mill, and then elicit its gauge and shape control characteristics. With the consideration of different gauge and shape controls, give out the corresponding gauge and shape control strategy of DC mill. The results provide a theoretical basis for the promotion and application of DC mill.
