In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to energy-saving during oil production. Especially for the eleventh-five-year plan, energy-saving has become a primary control objective for the whole nation. Water injection is one of the major production methods for oilfield development, which can improve oil recovery factor and maintain high and stable yields. However, water-injection is a highly energy-consuming process itself, how to save energy is of great significance. This thesis is originated in such background and based on practical needs of energy-saving in Daqing oilfield. For the water injection ability of injection well, the thesis use the method that combined with wellbore parameters, water injection methods and reservoir properties, a model was constructed to compute efficiency and energy consumed during water injection process, and it was also logarithmically amended according to practice. Then by software engineering methods, a software was developed in Windows environment to analyze water injection ability. Since all the data of water injection wells has been stored in Oracle Database, it becomes very easy to use and manage it. The software was compiled in the popularized B/S mode, and the data was transferred and obtained through network database. To use it, what users need is a computer with a browser and connected to the Internet, for the software is out of client-side computer but stored in the server. The conclusions made by this study and the software compiled have been used in practical oil production already, which provide an effective and feasible method to energy-saving and the whole oil production process.
