The precision injection molding technology has been developing fast with the requirements of high quality of injection molding parts. Process parameters are important factors which affect the quality of precision injection molding products. This article researched on process optimization of precision injection molding and the key role of injection molding CAE,secondary development and visualization technology in the optimization.Based on secondary technology of Moldflow, Guide for packing curve optimization program and analyzer of process optimization program were developed to enhance the optimization function of Moldflow; Weld line integrative forecaster program,aided evaluation system of Moldflow analysis results program and the parallelism and coaxiality analyzer in Moldflow program were developed to provide efficient tools and criteria for Moldflow to evaluate results,product defects and dimensional accuracy.Based on visualization technology of injection molding, the filling behavior of polymer melt in various typical cavities of precision injection molding were studied and also compared with Moldflow simulation results. Research results not only provided theoretical guidance and practical experience for process optimization in precision injection molding, but also practical reference and verification for developing of CAE technology.Based on visualization technology of injection molding, the typical defects such as short shot,flash,weld line,flow mark,jetting mark,sink mark and bubble of precision injection molding products were also studied and measures for eliminating defects and improving product quality were proposed.In the end, the process parameters of a precision injection molding products - the inflation device tube were optimized with the help of CAE software,secondary developed tools and visualization experimental research. Example proved that CAE technology combined with practical experience could be more effective to solve practical problems in precision injection molding,optimize process and improve the quality of the products.
