Lower speed-wire electrical discharge machining cut the metal by electrical breakdown and can process some special workpieces instead of traditional machines.So,electrical discharge machining is widely used in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics,ship manufacturing,die and mould automobile manufacturing. Because the energy of signal pulse determine the machining ability of micro_workpiece and micro_electrode.So,lower speed-wire pulse electrical power source is one of key techniques in Micro Electricl Discharge Machining(MEDM) and we can use the pulse reference signal to cut the DC in order to generate pulse power,.So the generator is important point of researching pulse electrical power source by people.In addition,as the development of computer,its bus is widely used in the lower speed-wire electrical discharge machining.According to the theory of wire electrical pulse generator and achievement in the practice, The thesis introduces the design of lower speed-wire pulse reference signal generator based on PCI-Bus.In the design of hardware,PCI9052 is used in the PCI-Bus interface design; STC89LE52RC is used to accept and deal with the pulse parameter;EPM1270 is used to design the inside circuit of CPLD in order to generate the pulse signal; In the system of windows,The drive program is completed in Windows Driver Mode.It can realize and control the slave computer.At last,we can set parameters of pulse by computer to transmit the signal to CPLD in order to produce pulse signal, According to using the oscillograph to test the pulse signal,the result proves that the signal is high frequency,very steady and can be controlled.
