Lower speed-wire electrical discharge machining (LSWEDM) is digital manufacturing equipment, and is key equipment of processing precision die, it has been widely used in die and mould manufacturing, automobile manufactory, ship manufacturing, aeronautics and astronautics manufacturing . The design of pulse generator system is one of key technology for LSWEDM.This thesis is based on the theory of wire electrical pulse generator and achievement in the practice, according to characteristics and requirements of LSWEDM, analyzes the influence of power parameter on processing technology, gives a detailed introduction about the design of pulse reference signal generator.This paper is based on single chip and programmable logic device, designs pulse reference signal generator, its hardware system is mainly composed of single chip (STC89C51), programmable logic device and peripheral circuit. Applying assembly language to design program of single chip about parameter display and control the importation of programmable logic device and so on, at the same time, using VHDL to complete the program of pulse reference signal generator and carrying waveform simulation. On this basis, this paper makes test and analysis to pulse reference signal generator, puts forward the further research.
