Though the coal mine safety in China has been remarkably improving in recent years, it is still facing a severe situation. Accidents and disasters seriously imperil the employees'lives and health in coal mines and bring substantial property damage and harmful influence to the society. The concept of intrinsic safety lead to important measures for mining enterprises to improve safety records, thus it becomes an urgent work to build coal mines of intrinsic safety through systematically, rationally and accurately intrinsic safety evaluation. This thesis studied on the coal mine accident causation and proposed a relevant model, built a system of safety evaluation index and used fuzzy neural network model to make a demonstration.By collecting relevant achievements in research of intrinsic safety theory, the thesis probed into the connotation of intrinsic safety, and introduced the research progress in intrinsic safety assessment.Then the analysis on the features possessed and the errors caused by the factors of Human, Machine, Environment and Management is performed. And the model of accident as the result of track-intersection is put forward while a system of evaluation indexes is established with 4 first-order indexes, 20 second-order indexes and 64 third-order indexes.Based on the analytic hierarchy process,the index scale of good transmission is selected. The significance of all indexes is assessed by experts to obtain the index weights. Referring to the fuzzy evaluation method and neural network evaluation method, a fuzzy neural network evaluation model is proposed.Finally, took the Shaanxi Huang Lin first coal mine as a evaluation object. Values of evaluation indexes were obtained by using methods of documentary information, questionnaire, scene investigation and mathematical statistics. Applied fuzzy neural network evaluation model to evaluate the coal mine's intrinsic safety. And the result showed that this coal mine was ofâ…¡grade of intrinsic safety. The ultimate evaluation conclusion coincided with the practical situation of the coal mine's intrinsic safety.
