In order to increase product functionality, improve product quality,features,customization and environmental friendliness, reduce the cost and delivery time et., the manufacturing enterprises must have quick response in product development and optimizing product entire life cycle to meet these unprecedented challenges. In this paper, the adaptable modular design of cylindrical gear machines is researched, providing some basis for decision-making in new product development of enterprise serial products. Adaptable modular design software is developed by VC++ and Matlab software. And in this paper, cylindrical gear machine is progressed by functional analysis,module division,parametric design,configuration design and evaluation of product family, verifying the reliability of this theory. The main contexts are as following:1) Summarizes the current research state of cylindrical gear machine, adaptable design and relevant technology. Based on these theories, it summarizes the current research state of parametric design,performance analysis and working table static calculation.2) Introduces the revelant concept of adaptable design, including the definition of adaptable design,concept of adaptable product,elements of adaptable design. Based on these theories, it introduces the principle of adaptable modular design, including product module division,module structure design,adaptable interface design,evaluation of adaptable module,product intercommunity,product adaptability and comprehensive evaluation of performance.3) Carries out parametric modeling for cylindrical gear machine. It also carries out configuration design for cylindrical gear machine and plans three programs, and carries out performance analysis on them.4) Carries out static calculation for cylindrical gear machine working table, and then Ansys static analysis and Fluent flow analysis is carried out on working table beard static pressure. It helps to identify the weakness of structure, facilitating its optimization.5) Carries out needs analysis for adaptable modular software, and expounds the development principles of software, and introduces the tools for the software platform realization and key technology. It introduces the adaptable modular design tools, and introduces the general framework of each software and the software environment and data format requirements.6) Carries out adaptable modular design for cylindrical gear machine by adaptable modular software. We makes module configuration analysis for each program, completes its functional module configuration table, and calculates the intercommunity of each program, evaluates the module costs of each programe, calculates the adaptability of each program, and analyzes and compares this adaptability. Finally, it comprehensively evaluates the CAE analysis data of cylindrical gear machine using the performance comprehensive evaluation software.
