To ensure labor productivity and improve the dimensional accuracy of free forgings, the fast forging comes into being. With the development of modern industry, must be under the premise of stable, higher and higher requirements for forging speed and accuracy have been proposed. In this context, the advantages of using electro-hydraulic proportional technology for fast forging press is increasingly prominent and used more amd more widely. For the characteristics of nonlinear, time-varying load disturbance, complex control features and parameter variation of the system, using the united simulation technology, the theoretical and experimental research of static and dynamic characteristics has importantly theoretical and practical value.In this paper, relying on the 22 MN proportional fast forging press, establish its virtual prototype by ADAMS, Pro/E and MATLAB and conduct research as the following aspects:Firstly, research on the entity of 22 MN fast forging press, using Pro/E and ADAMS to build and verify the accuracy of ontology three-dimensional model.Secondly, research on the model of the key components and circuit of 22 MN fast forging hydraulic system, and then, using the data interface of Simulink and ADAMS/Control to build the virtual joint simulation model of 22 MN fast forging press system. Take theoretical and experimental research on the static and dynamic characteristics of 22 MN fast forging press.Thirdly, design the single neuron PID controller to control the proportional fast forging system of 22 MN fast forging press, compare and analysis the simulation results with traditional PID controller. And then, conduct the similar experiments. Results show that: single neuron PID controller has better control performance, enhancing the system robustness and reducing adjustment time, making the system presents certain degree of adaptability, is an excellent controller.
