Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Tangke Ping Granule In Treating Liver Hypertension In Elderly Patients With

Objective:Through the clinical randomized controlled trials, we can observe the clinical effects of Yunkeping granule on improving the dizziness or headache of elder hypertensive patients who is Ganwangtanzu. At the same time we can observe the incidence rate of its adverse reactions and then evaluate its security and have a further exploration of its mechanism, in order to highlight the advantages of Chinese medicine treatment in improving the dizziness symptoms of high blood.Methods:This study selects 116 patients who has the dizziness or headache symptoms and matches with the diagnostic code of elder hypertension and Chinese medicine Ganwangtanzu standard to carry on the clinical randomized controlled trials. These patients were treated in China-Japanese Friendship Hospital during March,2010 to June.2013. They were used the random number tale to divide into 2 groups equally according to the treatment order. There were 58 patients respectively in Chinese medicine treatment group (treatment group) and western medicine control group (control group). Both the patients of these two groups take the original antihypertensive drugs as normally. In addition, the patients of treatment group take Yunkeping granule (it is composed of riddle, selfheal, pinellia tuber and plantains) for treatment. The usage is one bag (10g) each time in drinking,2 times a day before waking and sleeping. The patients of control group take Nimodipine (it is produced by Zhengzhou Pfizer pharmaceuticals Ltd.) 3 times a day.2 weeks as a course of treatment, both two groups take 2 course of treatment. Then we can have an observation and comparison of the blood pressure level before and after treatment, the improvement of dizziness symptoms, the incidence rate of adverse reaction and security. There are 52 men and 64 women in the selected 116 patients; the average age is 67 years old which the oldest one is 95 year-old and the youngest one is 60 year-old. There is no significant difference (P>0.05) among the comparison of age, sex, hypertension level, course of degree and Chinese traditional syndrome so it has the comparability.Results:It can draw the below conclusions through the systems analysis of trial results:(1) the comparison of blood pressure level. The systolic pressure and diastolic pressure of both two groups has no dramatic decline after treatment, so the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05); compared between these two groups, the patients of two groups have no significant difference of hypertension level after treatment (P>0.05); (2) On the side of improving the dizziness symptoms, the effective rate after treatment in treatment group whose patients taking Yunkeping granule is 98.27%, with the significant efficiency rate 75.86% and effective rate 18.96%. The effective rate of the patients taking Nimodipine is 86.20%, with the significant efficiency rate 60.34% and effective rate34.48%. It has significant difference between these two groups so there has statistical significance (P<0.05); (3) the comparison of adverse reactions and security. One patient in the treatment group had abdominal pain and diarrhea symptoms. The symptoms disappeared when stopped taking medicine; while there were 4 patients in the control group having the stomach upset, feeling sick and poor appetite. The symptoms disappeared when stopped taking medicine. There was no distinct change of these two groups before and after treatment in a routine blood test, routine urine test, the function of liver and kidney and electrocardiogram. The incidence of adverse reaction in the treatment group (1.7%) is lower than that of the control group(6.8%). The security comparison between the treatment group and control group has no statistically meaning (P>0.05)Conclusion:Yunkeping granule has an outstanding effect on improving the dizziness or headache of elder hypertensive patients who is Ganwangtanzu. It has no obvious side effect and safety. The study shows that comparing to Nimodipine, Yunkeping granule can better improve the clinical systems such as dizziness and headache, and it is worthy of further promotion in clinical.
