A exceptionally serious flood in history occurred along the Yangzi River, Lenjiang River and Songhua River in China in the summer of 1998. The PLA troops and the Armed Police rush forward the anti-flood front; more than 8000 public health personnel were sent to the front to follow-up support. The study was the constituent part of the research of health service support about disaster assistance charged by the Medical Department of General Logistics Department, PLA. The result suggested: (1 )The construction of disease in armymen taking part in anti-flood is different from peacetime and wartime; (2)The disease of natural infectious focus is some different in different area; (3)There were some special requirement to medical supplies support under anti-flood condition, and the support pattern in wartime can抰 be used mechanically. (4)The stress in anti-epidemic prevention should he put on drinking water hygiene, anti梙eat stroke, and the trcatmcnt of intestinal inlectiotts disease and the disease of natural infectious focus, (5)mid-medical treating unit can be established when rear hospital is more distant from troops.
