Objective: Observe changes of rabbitS' liver tissue in two-dimensioned ulbeound. color Doppler. pulse Doppler. macroscopy andmicroscopy, explore the pathogenesis of changes of liver tissue caused byinfusing acetic acid into the branch of portal vein, offer theoreticalevidence for interventional treatment of liver carcinoma via the branch ofportal vein.Material and methods: Nineteen rabbits were divided into fivegroups, acehc acid was infused respectively into the branch of pohal veinin five erperimental groups, meanWhile, acetic acid was injected into liverparenchyma of five rabbitS in control groups guided by ultrasound.Result: After proper dose acetc acid was infused into branch ofrabbits' liver, endovasculitis' stenosis ,thrombosis were formed in thebranch of portal vein and accompaning hepatic artery it resulted indeterioration of rabbits' liver, no blood signal or very low velocny in theportal vein and accompaning hepatic artery in corresponding infused area,Whereas, biochemical index of liver function and kidney function didn'tincrease obviously.ConcIusions: The effect of infused acetic acid into the branch of portalvein can result in embolisation in both portal vein and hepatic artery3correSPonding blood suPPly of liver tissue was decreased or obstrUCted, the result equa the effect of emboliZation in portal vein and hePatic arteryit offered theoretical evidence for treatrient of Iiver carcinoma by selectiveemboliZation of portal vein.
