Objective: To investigate the relationship between serum uric acid (SUA) and coronary heart disease(CHD). Methods: The serum uric acid in 109 patients was detected. All patients underwent a selective coronary angiography and were divided into two groups according to the score of the severity of the coronary arteriopathy. Results: The severity of coronary arteriopathy was positively correlated with SUA. Through Logistic regression analysis, the level of serum uric acid was confirmed to be independent risk factors for coronary heart disease. Conclusion: The level of uric acid was positively related with the severity of coronary arteriopathy and confirmed to be independent risk factors for coronary heart disease.
