| Objective To study the expression and diagnosis value of serum CEA,CA242 and CA19-9 levels in patients with colorectal carcinoma. Methods The contents of serum CEA, CA242 andCA19-9 were determined by enzymelinked immumo-sorbent assay in 40 patients with colorectal carcinoma and 20 patients with benign digestive tract disease. Results In patients with colorectal carcinoma, the contents of serum CEA(10. 85+16. 20ng/ml), CA242 (65.62 ± 75. 76u/ml) and CA19-9(39. 63 ± 69. 08u/ml) were significantly higher than that in benign digestive disease. In patients with colorectal carcinoma, the positive rate of serum CEA(60.0%), CA242(52.5%) and CA19-9(40. 0%) were significantly higher than that in benign digestive disease. In colorectal carcinoma, the sensitivity , specificity , positive predictive value and negative predictive value of CEA were 60. 0%,85. 0%, 88.9% and 51.5% respectively, and that of CA242 were 52.5%, 85.0%, 87.5% and 47. 2% respectively, and that of CA19-9 were 40.0%,95.0% ,94.1% and 44. 2% respectively. CEA, CA242 and CA19-9 were examined conjunctively, which positive findings were 85. 0% and its sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 85.0% , 80.0% , 89.5% and 72.2%respectively. There were significant relation among the serum CEA, CA242, CA19-9 levels, its positive rate and thestaging of colorectal,Which had statistical significance (P<0.01). Conclusion In serum, CEA, CA242 and CA19-9 are all better tumor markers for diagnosis of colorectal carcinoma. There were significant relation among the serum CEA,CA242, CA19-9 levels, its positive rate and the staging of colorectal carcinoma. The combintion of CEA, CA242 and CA19-9 has a high positive rate. |
