IUD is the most widely used intrauterine device method for wemen of child bearing age.But it can cause side reactions of the menorrhagia and menostaxis etc.To study the mechanism of the dease and the therapy of SQ complexprescription which is based on removing blood stasis to stop bleeding and is composed of Radix notoginseng and Radix rubiae,to select the effective fraction of SQ complexprescription,we built up a animal model of Cu-IUD-wearing rabbits given the effective fraction of SQ complexprescription through several aspects including as prostacyclin, thromboxane, plasminogen activator and hemorrheology.These were results: 1. Cu-IUD raised the contents of thromboxane A2(TXA2), decreased of the contents of prostacycline I2(PGI2), raised the contents of tissue-type-plasminogen activator(t-PA) and the density of erythrocyte,whole blood viscosity (low,middle,high)and plasma viscosity of the animal model of Cu-IUD-wearing rabbits. 2. The effective fraction of SQ complexprescription decreased the contents ofprostacycline I2(PGI2), raised thromboxane A2 (TXA2),decreased the ratio of PGI2 to TXA2.3. The effective fraction of SQ complexprescription decreased the contents of tissue-type-plasminogenactivator(t-PA).4. The effective fraction of SQ complexprescription decreased the density of erythrocyte,whole blood viscosity (low,middle,high)and plasma viscosity,and improved hemorrheology.All mentioned above indicate that pathologic alteration of the animal model of Cu-IUD-wearing rabbits is consistent with the character of the cause of the disease of blood stasis, whmanifestates the alteration of the biochemical marker and hemorrheologic abnormality,the effective fraction of SQ complexprescription which were selected can regulate the release of biochemical medium in the uterine tissues,and improve hemorrheology,so endometrorrhagia caused dy IUD-wearing can be prevented and cured effectively.
