| Acne vulgaris is a multifactorial disease in whichpropionibacteria, i.e. Propionibacterium acnes, which form part ofthe resident cutaneous micro-flora, are thought to play an importantrole in the pathogenesis of inflamed lesions. Acne is a disorder ofthe pilosebaceous follicle characterized by non-inflammatory(comedones) and inflammatory lesions (papules, pustules andnodulocystic lesions). Epidemiological studies have shown that upto 70–87% of the adolescents experience acne vulgaris but alsoadults and especially female patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy ofphototherapy in patients with mild to moderate acne. Methods: 1. Case selection: the data from 90 patients withmild to moderate acne at the third hospital of Ji Lin university. It iscredible. 2. efficacy determinant standard: the effectiveness oftreatment was accessed according to the changes ofnon-inflammatory and inflammatory lesions. 3. method: 90 caseswith mild to moderate acne were retrospectively analyzed. We usedX2 –test to analyze the curative effect between the groups. P<0.05means marked difference. Results: The cases were divided into 2 groups named trialgroup, contrast group. Using phototherapy, tretinoin respectively. The effective rate of 2 groups is 73.3%, 53.3%. The curative effectof trial group is better than that of contrast group(P<0.05). Thecurative effect of trial group is associated with frequency oftreatment. Conclusion: phototherapy was effective and well tolerated inacne patients, suggesting that phototherapy may be a new modalityfor the treatment of acne. |
