objective: To investigate the relation between Y chromosome deletion and idiopathic azoospermia, severe oligozoospermia;and investigate variability of Y chromosome deletion situs and rate in the nations. Methods: The multi-situs microdeletions of azoospermia factor (AZF) on Y chromosome were detected by using the real time fluorescent PCR in 40 patients. Results: In 4 of 26 patiens with idiopathic azoospermic and 4 Of 34 cases with severe oligozoospermia ,the microdeletions of AZF was found. Conclusions: The Analysis of the microdeletions on Y chromosome will provide indicationto intracytoplasmic sperm injection for treatment of male infertility, but whether there is variability in deletion situs and rate of microdeletions of azoospermia factor on Y chromosome between nations or not,it deserve further study.
