The Clinic Observation On The Curative Effect Of Transdermal Therapeutics Combined With Transdermal Therapeutic System (TTS) In Hyperplasia Of Mammary Glands

Background: Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands is an ordinary disease mostly among women, which has symptoms including pain or tumour in mammary glands. In TCM theory, the main pathogenesis of Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands is the maladjustment of the Chong and Ren meridians, while in modern medicine, it is because of the maladjustment of endocrine system. In recent years TCM has accumulated abundant experiences on treatment to this disease, for instance, the herbs, acupuncture, TTS, physical therapy, and so on. One of them, TTS, has the cidvantage of the more simple way to give treatment and less side-effect.Objective: to observe and evaluate the curative effect of transdermal therapeutics combined with transdermal therapeutic system (TTS) in Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands, and to discuss the possible functional mechanism of it.Methods: 63 patients from the acupuncture and the mammary glands outpatient department in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM were selected according to strict diagnosis criterion, divided to the TTS group of 33 cases and the drug group of 30 cases. All of them were diagnosed to three TCM differentiations, the stagnation of liver-qi group, the obstruction of phlem and blood group and the maladjustment of the Chong and Ren group. The treatment of the TTS group is to brush the plaster on points of Qihai, Guanyuan and A-shi points on breast for 3 months and the way of the drug group is also to take "Rupixiao" orally for 3 months. Record the data from the two groups, establish the database, analyze them by SPSS 13. 0 software package and compare the clinic effect of the the TTS group and the drug group.Results: 100% of the TTS cases are effective and pain symptom of this group were relieved significantly. In the stagnation of liver-qi group and the obstruction of phlem and blood group, TTS is better in alleviating pain andother symptoms than taking drugs orally.Conclusions: TTS is an effective method to treat Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands, especially to alleviate the pain symptom. Because of advantages of the more simple way to give treatment and less side-effect, TTS is a effective way to treat the Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands.
