Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of general intravenous anesthesia with target-controlled infusion(TCI) of different plasm remifentanil and propofol concentration for thoracic surgery in the elderly. Methods: Forty-five ASAⅠ~Ⅲpatients aged 65~75 yr and weighed 5077 Kg undergoing thoracic surgery were randomly divided into three groups . The patients were premedicated with midazolam 0.05 mg·kg-1 and artropine 0.5 mg·kg-1 intramuscular 30 min before anesthesia.Perioperative monitoring included electrocardiogram and heartrate(HR),invasivel(artery) mean arterial blood pressure(MAP), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic arterial blood pressure(DBP), peripheral oxygen saturation(SpO2), heart rate variablity(HRV), bispectral (BIS)index, and PETCO2. Anesthesia was induced with remifentanil and propofol both given by TCI simultaneously. The target concentration of propofol was 3μg·ml-1 and remifentanil were 4, 6, 8ng·ml-1(group R4, R6, R8). When the patients lost conscionsness, vecuronium 0.1 mg·kg-1 was given intravenously to facilitate intubation. The patients were...
