Objective:To assess the prevalence of seborrhoeic dermatoses of Malaysian and Indonesian adolescents and analyze its risk factors; the relationship between seborrhoeic dermatoses and dysfunction of enteron and endocrine is also studied.Method:A questionnaire survey for the epidemiological information of seborrhoeic dermatoses was carried out in Jan. 2005~Feb. 2006. 4500 persons aged from 12 to 20 of 7 middle schools were drawn out from 60 middle schoolsin Malaysia and 1500 persons aged from 12 to 20 of 4 universities were drawn out from 43 universities in Indonesia, Surabaya by random and cluster sampling. The software SPSS 13. 0 statistically analyzes the data.Results:In Malaysian and Indonesian adolescents aged from 12 to 20, the incidence rates of seborrhea, seborrhoeic dermatitis, acne, seborrhoeic alopecia, rosacea are 46.3%, 19.4%,63.6%. 2.4%,0.9% respectively. According to the results of multiple logistic regression, the risk factors of seborrhoeic dermatoses are duration of stay, dysfunction of enteron, inheritance, life habit and androgen level.
