| Objective : To observe the clinical therapeutic effect and adverse effect of YiQiHuoXueFang in treating the type of vital energy deficiency and blood stasis of Diabetic Arterial Occlusion of Lower Extremities(DAO) and explore the mechanism of action of YiQiHuoXueFang and the pathogenesy of DAO. Methods:60 patients who suffered from DAO were randomly divided into two groups including the treatment group and the control group. The treatment group was given YiQiHuoXueFang,while the control group was given TangMaiKang granule.2 months later,we observed the change of clinical symptom,ankle/brachia index,blood-fat index,fibrinogen,endothelial cell function between the the treatment group and the control group.Results:The two group's clinical symptom, ankle/brachia index, blood-fat index,fibrinogen,endothelial cell function were obviosly improved.The total effective rate of treatment group reached 93.33%. The total effective rate of control group reached 70%.There was significant difference btween the treatment group and the control group(P﹤0.05)and the effect of the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusions:YiQiHuoXueFang is the ideal medicine to treat DAO which has reliable efficacy, low recurrence rate and little adverse effect.The mechanism of action might be related with improving peripheral circulation, restraining from thrombosis, adjusting the level of blood-fat,endothelial cell function and immunity and so on.
