[Objective] The investigation and evaluation of control effect on occupational hazards for 2×600 MW supercritical coal-generating electricity units was done in order to ensure that the occupational preventive apparatus accord with the relevant national laws and regulations and the occupational harzards meet the relative national standards to protect the health and associated rights of the laborers, as well as improve the economic development, Meawhile, to provide scientific technical basis for completion acceptance of occupational preventive apparatus of construction project.[Methods] Analysis of the sorts and production links in production process of the project, detection of occupational risk factors and data statistical analysis were carried out through the occupational hygiene investigation and engineering analysis on basis of construction project occupational hazard evaluation norm. According to the national law and standards, the survey evaluated hazard levels of occupational diseases and effects of protective measures, as well as drew the rational and feasible occupational health protective strategies and suggestions.[Results] (1) Dust, CO, CO2, SO2, NO2, H2S, sulfuric acid mist, HC1, NH3, sodium hypochlorite, sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), noise, power frequency electric field, thermal Radiation and so on were the main occupational harzards in this project. (2) Chemical poisons such as CO, CO2, SO2, NO2, H2S, sulfuric acid mist, HCl, NH3, lead fume, sodium hypochlorite, SF6 and hydrazine anhydrous met national standard for occupational hygiene. (3) 13 samples of coal dust were tested and the rate of exceeding standard is 7.7%. 7 samples of Silica dust were tested and the rate of exceeding standard is 28.6%. Noise level in 35 points were tested and the rate of exceeding standard is 28.6%.[Conclusion](1) There are serious occupational hazards in this construction project. (2) Dust concentrations, noise intensities and power frequency electric field were higher than the standard. (3) As long as the plant operates effective protective measures of occupational diseases, strengthens occupational health management, actively propagates the protective knowledge of occupational diseases, and improves labors's self- protective -consciousness, Meantime, the related department ought to monitor occupational hazards in workplace and health surveillance of labor periodically, stringency and rescue's management and prevention of installment in the plant. Concentrations of occupational hazards and protective measures can control basically under national occupational health standards and correspond the demands related to national regulations.
