| Objective: To investigate the relationship between the expressions of DDR1 Proteome and the invasive potential in colon carcinoma cells.Methods: The expressions of DDR1 isforms in colon carcinoma cell lines were detected by Western blot, the activities of MMP2 and MMP9 in colon carcinoma cell lines were examined by gelatin zymography analysis.Results:1. DDR1a and DDR1b protein expressions could be observed in all cell lines examined, while DDR1e protein expression could be observed only in LOVO cells. The expressions of DDR1a and DDR1b were significantly higher in LOVO cells than in HT-29, SW-480 and SW-116 cells, and the difference is very significant(P<0.01).2. The activities of MMP2 and MMP9 in all cell lines examined were observed. The activities of MMP2 and MMP9 were significantly higher in LOVO cells than in HT-29, SW-480 and SW-116 cells, and the difference is very significant(P<0.01). 3. There was significant positive correlationship between the expressions of DDR1a and DDR1b and the activities of MMP2 and MMP9 in all cell lines examined (P<0.05).Conclusion: DDR1a and DDR1b maybe act as biological indicators of the invasion in colon carcinoma cells. |
