The Study Of The Effect Of The Post-operative Rehabilitation Treatment For The Distal Femur B, C-type Fractures By Haitongpitang Fumigating And Washing

Objective: To observe the effect of the rehabilitation treatment for post-operative fractures of the distal femur with Chinese Herbal Haitongpitang fumigating and washing, and evaluate The validity of the method,with a view to find a positive and effective intervention therapeutic measures of improving curative effect and reducing complications during a period of post-operative rehabilitation, further guidance on clinical practice.Methods: Choosing cases of hospitalization distal femoral fracture fome March 2003 to March 2007, On the scope of the study included in the distal femur fractures Type B and C Cases (AO/ASIF ), and taking a rigorous and regular rehabilitation exercises under the premise of more stable internal fixation, after 14 days the wound healed, the patients were given a retrospective study respectively.Basic treatment: the post-operative distal femoral fracture cases measured up the standard were gived to antibiotics 3 to 5 days, removed drainage tubes 24 ~ 48h later, patients started exercising quadriceps and doing physical training by CPM. the wound healed, Joint initiative activities was painless, swelling stop or swelling subsided, the time is approximately 2～4 weeks.The Chinese Herbal fumigating and washing group A: Continued to take an initiative exercises of the knee joint, and began to impose Chinese Herbal Fumigating and Washing.The conventional treatment control group B: Continuing to take an initiative exercises of the knee joint.Observation items: (1) Post-operative loading time (2) Fracture healing time, (3) Score knee function by the HSS standards;(4) Clinical efficacy: excellent is above 85 points, good is between 70 to 84 points,medium is between 60 to 69 points, and poor is less than 59 points.The two groups were gived the corresponding postoperative rehabilitation measures in the hospital respectively ,and assessed the results according to the corresponding follow-up date after 3 and 8 months.patients were scored by HSS knee jiont fuction standards about short-term outcome (12 weeks)and the long-term results (32 weeks), and regarded whether there is differences or not between the two groups by comparative Analysis of loading time, fracture healing time,and the knee function, and the same period the follow-up data were for statistical analysis. Results: Before treatment the knee function scores in the two groups showed no significant difference (P>0.05) ;but the HSS scores difference was significant before and after treatment in every group (P<0.05); The recent (12 weeks) and long-term results (32 weeks) of patients between the two groups showed significant difference respectively(P<0.01); after treatment the scores of loading time, fracture healing time, the knee function and complications were significantly different in the twogroups(P<0.05).Conclusion1,The treatment group of 34 cases was superior to the control group in Clinical efficacy.2,Chinese herbs Fumigating and Washing in treatment for distal femur fractures can improve postoperative knee function effectively,promote fracture healing,and reduce complications,Contribute to prevention of osteoporosis fractures,and help to improve postoperative rehabilitation efficacy of the distal femur fractures.
