Objective:To explore the dosage of classical prescription of Treatise on Febrile Disease,and summarize the experience of Dr.Tong Xiaolin,determine the original dosage of classical prescription,guide the doctors Use the reasonable dosage,and raise the effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods & ResultsThrough studied on literature,quantified the nonstandard drugs,explore the security of the dosage and summarize the experience of Dr.Tong Xiaolin,etc,we expected to search the original dosage of classical prescription.1.Literature studyWe referred to ancient medical classic literatures which recorded classical prescriptions,especially those emended by the government.Referred to ancient books and records of metrology evolution,especially drug dosage in classical prescriptions,compared the change of various eras,and deduced the original dosage of classical prescriptions.It was found that 1 Liang equals 15.6gramme.The conclusion is provided by the science and historical materials,and it accords with the historical facts of the evolution of metrology.2.Measured non-standard weight drugsFor some drugs of non-standard measurement,we measured their weight,consulted the measurement productions of others,average them.Then,we compared the weights of non-standard weight drugs and standard weight drugs.On the other hand, we watch the process of decoction of two classic prescriptions,and record the time. It was found that the conclusion 1 Liang equals 15.6 gram accords with the their ingredients in classical prescriptions,and the theories of pharmacology.3.The study of security of original dosage of Treatise on Febrile Diseases, Combined with toxicology and pharmacology of TCM,summed up the different methods of decoction and dose,it was found that although the dosage is heavy,this usage is safe.4.The summary of the experience of Dr.Tong XiaolinWhen treating Diabetes and its complications,Dr.Tong Xiaolin usually use the heavy dosage of classic prescriptions.The effects is great and the usage is safe. Conclusions1 Liang equals 15.6 gram is accorded with the historical facts of metrology,and the theory of pharmacology.It is suggested that this conclusion accord with the original dosage of classical prescriptions.It may direct the usage of classical prescriptions and raise the effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
