To study the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes of elderly systolic hypertension and blood serum of adiponectin and resistin,so as to provide a new objective direction for the differentiation-classification of TCM syndromes of elderly systolic hypertension. Methods:To collect 102 qualified gradeⅡelderly systolic hypertension patients as the observation group, and according to criterion of diagnose and TCM syndromes differentiation-classification from《the principle in clinic study of TCP》;16 healthy old people were taken as the normal group. All of them were taken fasting blood samples for measurements of plasma glucose, plasma lipids, adiponectin and resistin.Body mass index,BP were determined routinely in all of them.Results:1.The gradeⅡelderly systolic hypertension group had higher levels of BMI,total cholesterol(TC) and LDL than the normal group(P<0.05).The concentrations of resistin in hypertension group were significant higher than those in the normal group(P<0.01).The concentrations of adiponectin in hypertension group were significant lower than those in the normal group(P<0.01).2.The level of BMI in differentiation-classification:The excessive accumulation of phlegm-dampness group had higher level of BMI than the liver-fire hyperactivity group((P<0.05).The level of plasma glucose in differentiation-classification: The liver-fire hyperactivity group had higher level of plasma glucose than the deficiency of both yin and yang group(P<0.05).The level of plasma lipids in differentiation-classification:There were no intergroup differences in HDL.The excessive accumulation of phlegm-dampness group had higher level of TC and TG than the deficiency of both yin and yang group(P<0.05).The excessive accumulation of phlegm-dampness group and the yin deficiency group both had higher level of LDL than the liver-fire hyperactivity group((P<0.05).The level of blood serum of adiponectin and resistin in differentiation-classification:The concentrations of adipnection in the excessive accumulation of phlegm-dampness group were lower than those in the liver-fire hyperactivity group(P<0.05).The concentrations of resistin in the excessive accumulation of phlegm-dampness group were higher than those in the deficiency of both yin and yang group(P<0.05).3.Pearson relation analysis showed that resistin concentration was positivly and significantly correlated with LDL(γ=0.598,P=0.025) while was negatively and significantly correlated with adiponecitn(γ=-0.611,P=0.036) in hypertension group.Conclusions:1.The abaissement of levels of serum adiponectin and heighten of levels of serum resistin play an important role in the pathogenesis of elderly systolic hypertension.2.The levels of serum adiponectin and resistin are correlate with TCM syndromes of gradeⅡeldefly systolic hypertension, and the measurement of them could be a referable bases of the differentiation-classification of TCM syndromes in gradeⅡelderly systolic hypertension.3.The levels of BMI,plasma glucose and plasma lipids are correlate with TCM syndromes of gradeⅡelderly systolic hypertension.
