Objectives: Analyses the senile systolic hypertension group which is in accordancewith kidney deficiency syndrome statistically using retrospective reviewing methods tostudy on the kidney deficiency syndrome differentiation laws of simple systolichypertension group and the impact of cardiovascular risk factors on traditional Chinesemedicine(TCM) syndrome,to provide reference for the kidney deficiency syndromedifferentiation of simple systolic hypertension group and objective index for TCMsyndrome differentiation, therefore to increase the therapeutic effect of TCM preventionupon simple systolic hypertension. Methods:Based on kidney deficiency syndrome factors, collect information ofsex, age, weight, height and related cardiovascular risk factors through baseline screeningwith290individuals as research object which entered selection stage from five clinicalresearch centers of the project on TCM therapy on common diseases of cardiovasculardepartment “Research on optimized treating and preventing scheme of senile hypertensionin combined TCM and western medicine—study on integrated intervention on simplysystolic hypertension”from June,2010to May,2011according to strict and standardoperating rules to establish standard operating rules of kidney deficiency syndromedifferentiation and to analyses the correlationship between its differentiation laws andmulti-cardiovascular-risk-factors through statistic process.Results:(1)The syndrome distributing of elderly patients with systolic hypertension isin order kidney yin deficiency syndrome(134/290), kidney Qi deficiencysyndrome(92/290), kidney yang deficiency syndrome(63/290).Among169senile systolichypertension patients with accompanying syndromes, retention of phlegm syndrome account for116cases while hyperactivity of liver yang syndrome53.(2)The body massindex(BMI),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein(LDL) between three mainsyndrome groups were statistically different(P<0.05). Kidney yin deficiency syndrome andkidney yang deficiency syndrome have a significant correlation with BMI.Age,BMI,malewaist circumference between two accompanying syndrome groups were statisticallydifferent(P<0.05).The difference had statistical significance. Retention of phlegmsyndrome had a significant correlation with waist circumference in Male. Conclusion:The kidney deficiency syndrome differentiation laws of senile systolichypertension are as follows:kidney yin deficiency syndrome occupied the largestproportion while the proportion of kidney Qi deficiency syndrome was higher than kidneyyang deficiency syndrome.Among the accompanying syndromes, patients with retention ofphlegm syndrome were significantly more than hyperactivity of liver yang syndrome.BMIwas relevant with kidney yin deficiency syndrome and kidney yang deficiency syndromeamong all the cardiovascular risk factors. The related factors which influence hyperactivityof liver yang syndrome differentiation was age in male.Waist circumference in male wasthe related factor benefiting the differentiation of retention of phlegm syndrome.
