Objective : To investigate the effects and long-term effects after photocoagulation of the krypton yellow laser photocoagulation for diabetic patients with Irvine-Gass syndrome,to analyse and compare the effects of krypton yellow laser and drug treatment for diabetic patients with Irvine-Gass syndrome。Methods:Retrospective analysis of 80 cases of 80 diabetic patients with Irvine-Gass syndrome, patients with photocoagulation indications were checked by FFA and divided into two groups, the treatment group accepted the retinal krypton yellow laser photocoagulation with 42 cases; the control group refused to accept the retina krypton yellow laser photocoagulation with 38 cases, be suffering from eye drops of diclofenac sodium and oral acetazolamide treatment. After treatment visual changes, fundus, fundus fluorescein angiography and macular edema changes were observed in patients。Results:①Vision improving or remaining: the treatment group of 42 eyes of 42 cases, visual acuity improved in 36 eyes (85.71%) at the end of follow-up, visual acuity remained unchanged in 6 eyes (14.29%). Visual acuity improved significantly after photocoagulation, the difference of visual acuity before and after photocoagulation was obvious. Compared the vision before photocoagulation with visual acuity after the last follow-up in the following groups of moderate NPDR, severe NPDR and PDR, vision improving or remaining, moderate NPDR group accounting for 100%, severe NPDR group accounting for 95.46% , and PDR group accounting for 100%. The control group of 38 eyes of 38 cases, visual acuity improved in 2 eyes (5.26%) at the end of follow-up, visual acuity remained unchanged in 30 eyes (78.95%). Vision after treatment had no significant improvement, there were no significant difference in visual acuity before and after treatment. But the two groups of patients had significantly different changes in visual acuity before and after treatment.②macular edema disappearing or reducing : results showed by the FFA, after the treatment macular edema completely absorpted in 35 eyes (83.33%), partially absorpted in 7 eyes (14.29%), and unchanged in 3 eyes (2.38%). macular edema disappearing or reducing , moderate NPDR group accounting for 100%, severe NPDR group accounting for 95.46%,and PDR group accounting for 97.62%. The control group macular edema completely absorpted in 1 eyes (2.63%), partially absorpted in 5 eyes (13.16%), and unchanged in 32 eyes (84.21%). macular edema disappearing or reducing, moderate NPDR group accounting for 21.43%, severe NPDR group accounting for 12.50%,and PDR group accounting for 12.50%. Two groups of patients had significantly different in macular edema before and after treatment.③OCT macular image changes:Macular thickness had significant change before and after photocoagulation in the patients of the treatment group, while in the patients of control group it had no significant difference. Conclusion:The krypton yellow laser photocoagulation can stabilize or improve vision, also eliminate or reduce the macular edema,it is effective and safe to treat diabetic with Irvine-Gass Syndrome。...
