| Objectives:Throw the internet addiction survey, personality characteristics, mental health and sensation seeking questionnaire of 581 students: To explore the personality characteristics, the status of mental health and sensation seeking; To find out the internet addiction status of students, and the relationship with its relevant factors and the influencing factors; To provide the theorization for internet applying and addiction preventing of students.Method:Using stratified cluster sampling method and general information questionnaire, Internet Addiction Disorder Questionnaire, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Symptom-self-estimated table (SCL-90) and undergraduate sensation seeking scale on 581 students of vocational school in Changchun and analyzing the data with statistics.Result:Among the 581 students of school, the proportion of only child and non-only child is 64:36; family per-capita monthly income, less than 500 yuan or no less than 500 yuan, the proportion is 15:85; the proportion of students who come from rural areas, towns and cities is 32:26:42; the score of entrance exams, less than 300 or no less than 300, the proportion is 49:51; the years of contacting with the network, less than 5 years or no less than 5 years, the proportion is 9:1; the place of getting on the line, at home or other place, the proportion is 32:68; the time of getting on the line, less than 6 hours or no less than 6 hours every day, the proportion is 83:17; the proportion of self-control and non- self-control is 95:5. When online the students emphasize the chatting, watching movies, listening to music, play games, QQ online and downloading study information, etc. The dimensionality of P scale table of grade one students is higher than that of grade two students. The dimensionality of N scale table of nursing specialty is higher than other specialty.The students, who come from rural areas, whose family per-capita monthly income is less than 500 yuan, and the female students have the higher dimensionality of L scale table. Freshman students have higher positive rate than Grade two students in all dimensionality except the somatization and paranoid ideation of the mental health scale table. The students of nursing specialty have the significant higher positive rate in interpersonal sensitivity, anxiety, hostility, paranoid ideation, psychoticism and other dimensionality than non- nursing specialty students. Girls have higher positive rate in somatization than boys. The non-only child have higher positive rate in depression than only child. There is no significant difference in each dimensionality of mental health about the per-capita monthly income of family. The students from rural areas have higher positive rate in hostility than the students from towns and cities. About the sensation seeking, there is no significant difference in different grade, specialty, family income and whether only-child. Boy and the students from cities have higher proportion in sensation seeking.In that vocational school, the positive percentage of internet addiction of students is 3.6%. There is no significant difference among grade, whether only-child, family per-capita monthly income, homeplace, the score of entrance exams and the place of getting on the line and have the significant difference with gender, specialty, the years of contacting with the network, the time of getting on the line and self-control ability (P<0.01). About the content of online, there is significant difference in network games, QQ online and downloading information (P<0.05). There is significant difference in four aspect of personality characteristics between the internet addiction students and non- internet addiction students. In aspect of mental health, there is significant difference in all dimensionality with non-internet addiction students, except the dimensionality of photic anxiety (P<0.01). In the level of sensation seeking, there is significant difference between sensation seeking and non- sensation seeking students (P<0.05).Conclusion:The living backgrounds, such as grade, specialty, gender, only-child and non-only-child, family conditions and homeplace, can significantly affect the mental health of students. To internet addiction students, there is significant difference in aspect of personality characteristics, the level of mental health and sensation seeking. The internet addiction students obviously have the interpersonal sensitivity and moodiness. The following students are more easer to develop the internet addiction, such as boys, non- nursing specialty, more years and long time of contacting with the network. The main work of internet addiction students is playing network games and QQ online, less downloading study information. In four aspect of personality characteristics, the internet addiction students is significant higher than non- internet addiction students. In all the dimensionality, the the internet addiction students is significant higher than non- internet addiction students except the dimensionality of photic anxiety. The positive rate of sensation seeking of internet addiction students is significant higher than non- internet addiction students. |
