The incidence of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy is maximal among the all kinds of cervical spondylopathy, about 60%. The main pathogenesis have four facets:protrusion or prolapsed of nucleus pulposus, hyperosteogeny of the back joints of vertebrae cervicales, bony spur formation about Luschka joints, and the loosening and displacement about the adjacent joints of Luschka joints (articulatio intercentralis,Luschka joints and the back little joints);Because of the irritation and\or constriction to spinal nerve roots for forementioned kinds of pathogenesis, wo find the main clinical manifestation is sensory disturbance, dyscinesia and neural dysreflexia which coincide with the range of distribution about Spinal nerve root.Due to the higher incidence of the disease, in addition, the normal lives, works and studing will be influenced because of the serious disease, which can make patients feel unhappy, meanwhile can affects quality of patients'life significantly. Therefore, Finding the correct and active control methods is key point and purpose to medical practitioner. Our research's cases come from the manipulation department of Guangdong second hospital of TCM. According to the unified diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, we choose qualified objects. Objective:Observing and evaluating the treatment effect on treating cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy by "moving and stretching manipulation", through scientific and precise clinical experimental method.Method:The clinical observation of 60 cases are divided into treatment and control group each for 30 cases. Appling routine cervical traction treatment (once 10minute) add "moving and stretching manipulation" (once 20minute) in treatment group, appling the same cervical traction methods add traditional manipulation in control group (once 20minute). In treating on the two groups, once a day in the front 3 days, then once every other day,10 times a course, we observe the treatment effect after one course. Two groups all were scored by VAS,PPI and assessment scale for cervical syndrome at the beganing and the end of study, in addition, making follow-up visit to the two groups after 15 days finishing one course, the aim is knowing standing effects.Result:Clinical recovery rate is 40%, total effective rate is 96.7% in treatment group, and that are 23.3%,80.0% respectively in control group。Through chi-square tests, There's no significant differences between two groups in recovery rate, (P>0.05), but have significant differences in total effective rate, (P<0.05), which means the treatment group is superior to the control group。Applying visual analogue scale (VAS) score the two groups at the beginning and end of one course. Both of the VAS scores in the two groups were descend, there's significant differences, (P<0.01),indicating the two groups'therapy is effective; Comparing the two groups'VAS scores one course later, the scoure of treatment group descend more obvious than control group, (P<0.05), in meanning the treatment group is superior to the control group on improving pain syndromes. Applying improved pain intensity (PPI) score the two groups at the beginning and end of one course. Both of the PPI scores in the two groups were descend, there's significant differences, (P <0.01), indicating the two groups'therapy is effective; Comparing the two groups'PPI scores one course later, the scoure of treatment group descend more obvious than control group, (P<0.05), means the treatment group is superior to the control group on improving pain intensity, and then through assessment scale for cervical syndrome, comparing the two groups'scores after one course, the result is that the score of treatment group is more than control group, means that the treatment group is better than control one in improving cervical functions. In addition, making follow-up visit to the 60 patients after 15 days finishing one course (10times) later, the resoult is no differences comparing before, (P>0.05).Indicating that the long-term treatment effects is equal between the two groups. Conclusion:"Moving and Stretching Manipulation" matching Traction therapy have clinical chronergy, scientificity, deserve to be popularized.
