Research purposesInfantile diarrhea is kind of multivariate disease, especially prevalent in autumn and winter.About 80% patients are infected by Rotavirus(RV). RV can affect intestinal mucosa cells that produce lactozyme, which can change lactose into galactose. Our intestinal can not absorb lactose but galactose. The lack of lactozyme will deteriorate the condition because the decomposition products of the lactose will harm the intestinal mucose.Western medicine treatment on RV and Secondary Lactozyme Intolerance that result from the attack of RV are non-specific. However, the traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods are diversiform. So far,the effect of TCM on the Secondary Lactozyme Intolerance are inadequate. It is meaningful to research the effect of TCM on RV. Professor Xu Hua has done years of reach in the field of Infantile diarrhea. She thinks tha pathological mechanism of Infantile diarrhea is the asthenia of the spleen and dampness, considers that the therapy of diarrhea follows the basic rule of strengthening invigorating spleen for eliminating dampness, and had gained a good treatment effect in the before research. Base on it, this research observes the clinical effect of the Chinese traditional medicine of invigorating spleen for eliminating dampness in treating infant diarrhea, and discuss its action on secondary Lactozyme Intolerance.Research MethodsAdopt randomized controlled trial, stochastically divided 72 examples troubles into the treatment group and control group. The treatment used the Chinese traditional medicine of invigorating spleen for eliminating dampness. The control group used orally Smecta, observing its clinical curative effect and discuss the action on econdary Lactozyme Intolerance. The resultsThe effect rate of the treatment group is 97%, the control group effect rate is 72%, the treatment group surpassed control group, and the difference between two groups was significant(P<0.01).The two groups' level of Lactozyme Intolerance both reduced after the treatment, shows that both groups' Lactozyme could be improved, it also shows that Chinese traditional medicine is more effect than Smecta.ConclusionThe Chinese traditional medicine of invigorating spleen for eliminating dampness had the function of treating infant diarrhea. Chinese traditional medicine and Western medicine treatment can both improve the Lactozyme. Chinese traditional medicine is more effect than Smecta.
