Objective:To explore the efficacy of acupuncture according to syndrome differentiation plus Naproxen orally, scalp acupuncture plus Naproxen orally and Naproxen orally on Liver-Yang hyperactivity Sydrome migraine without aura.Methods:Under the random, contrast and single-blind research method,90 cases were involved in this trial and divided randomly into three goups:Group A (treated with acupuncture according to syndrome differentiation plus Naproxen orally), Group B (treated with accpuncture on headline plus Naproxen orally), and Group C (treated with Naproxen orally). The treatment of acupuncture is 30 minutes one time,5 times at the first week, and 3 times a week at the last 3 weeks. After treatments, the short-term effect were evaluated with times of attack, intensity of attack, duration, concomitant symptoms and VAS.Results:There was no significance in the three groups from the baseline analysis.The total effective rates in Group A (93.3%) were higher than that in Group B (86.2%), and Group A and Group B were higher than that in Group C (44.8%) significantly(P<0.05). In Group A and Group B, times of attack, intensity of attack, duration, concomitant symptoms, and VAS after the treatment were all decreased than before (P<0.05). Conclusions:The trail indicates that all three methods have beneficial effect on Liver-Yang hyperactivity Sydrome migraine without aura. In addition, the treatment of acupuncture according to syndrome differentiation plus Naproxen orally and the treatment of acupuncture on headline plus Naproxen orally were more helpful than the treatment of only Naproxen orally. The treatment of acupuncture according to syndrome differentiation plus Naproxen orally precede the the treatment of acupuncture on headline plus Naproxen orally.
