In this thesis, the phytochemical research on the 70% EtOH extracts of Selaginella delicatula (Desv.) Alston were carried out. A spectroscopic characteristices of Amentoflavone derivatives from Selaginella were provided. In addition, the chemical and pharmacological research works in the last fourty years about Selaginella were also reviewed.Twenty-two components were isolated and purified by chromato-graphic methods, and twenty-one of them were identified on the basis of spectral data (UV, IR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, DEPT,2D-NMR, ESI-MS) and physicochemical properties. These compounds, including four biflavonoids, six anthraquinones, two flavanones, two chalcones, one glycosphingolipid and so on, were elucidated as 7,4',7",4"'-tetra-O-methylamentoflavone (1), Heveaflavone (2),7,7"-di-O-methyl-amentoflavone (3), Amentoflavone (4), Physcion-8-O-β-Dgluco-pyranoside (5), Chrysophanol-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (6), Emodin-8-O-(3-D-glucopyranoside (8), Aloe-emodin (9), Chrysophanol (10), Emodin (11),4',7-dihydroxyflavanone (12),4',5,7-trihydroxyflavanone (13), (2E)-4',5,7-trihydroxychalcone (14), (2E)-5,7-dihydroxychalcone-4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (15),β-Sitosterol (16),β-Daucosterin (17), Glycyrrhetinic Acid (18), Friedelin (19), Heptadecanoic acid (20),1, 2-dihydroxypropylhexadecanoate (21), (2S,3S,2'R,4E,8Z)-1-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-2-N-(2'-hydroxyheptadecanoyl)-3-hydroxyhepta-decanol-4,8-dienine (22). Among them, compound 22 was a novel Glycosphingolipid (ceramide glucoside), compounds 5,6,8,12,13,14,15,18,19,21 were isolated from Selaginella genus for the first time. The types of Glycosphingolipid and Chalcone, which were unpreviously reported in Selaginella genus, improved the chemical structures of Selaginella.
