Research On The Chemical Constituents Of Corallodiscus Flabellate, Selaginella Tarmariscina(Beauv.) Spring And Pharmacological Activity Of Selaginella Tramariscina

This dissertation is composed of two sections. The first is about studies on chemical constituents of Corallodiscus flabellate. The second involves studies on chemical constituents, quality standard and anticancer activity of Selaginellaceae selaginella tarmariscina (Beauv. ) Spring.Shidancao, the entire herb of Corallodiscus flabellate which is also called Shihua and Shihudie etc, distributes mainly in Guangxi, Yunnan, Hubei and Henan province. It has the function of promoting blood circulation, detoxicating and easing pain, and is often used to cure irregular menstruation, leukorrhea with reddish discharge, palpitation, traumatic injury, boil and chronic eczema etc. Kunming folk medicinal herbs most in use records it can clear away heat and toxic, eliminate dampness, cure arthralgia-syndrome due to damp and heat and treat parotitis and sore throat. In the folk, people often use the water-extracts of Shidancao to treat diseases such as laryngopharyngitis, cold, female irregular menstruation and leukorrhea with reddish discharge. Our preliminary pharmacology experiment indicates its water-extracts has obvious antivirus activity. But systematical researches on it are not reported as yet. So we firstly do researches on its chemical constituents systematically.14 phenylethanosides were isolated from EtOAc-fraction of water-extracts of Corallodiscus flabellate. Ten of them were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence such as FAB-MS, IR, UV, 'HNMR, I3CNMR, 'H-'H COSY, HMQC, DEPT and HMBC etc. Among the 10 compounds, four are new compounds, l'-0-p-D- (3, 4-dihydroxy-phenyl)-ethyl-p-D-apiofuranosyl-( 1?3') -glucopyranoside (SDC-2), l'-0-p-D- (3, 4-dihydroxyphenyl) - ethyl-p-D-apiofuranosyl- (1?2') - glucopyranoside (SDC-3), l'-0-p-D - (3, 4-dihydroxyphenyl)- ethyl-4'-0-^r^/?^-Caffeoyl-p-D- apiofuranosyl-( l-?') -p-D-glucopyran-osyl-(l->6') -glucopyranoside (SDC-11), l'-0-p-D -(3, 4-di -hydroxyphenyl) -ethyl-p-D-apiofuranosyl ( 1椈3') -p-D- glucopyranosyl -(1椈6')-glucopyranoside (SDC-14) and six known compounds, Caleolarioside B(CF-2), Isonuo -mioside A(CF-3), lugrandoside(CF-4), Isolugrandoside(CF-6), Calceolarioside A(CF-8), and Nuomioside A(CF-15). These known compounds were separated from Corallodiscus flabellata for the first time.Juanbai , the entire herb of Selaginellaceae selaginella tarjnarIscina(Be&\iv.) Spring which is also named Changshengbusicao, jiusihuanhuncao, shilianhua, wannianqing etc. It is a traditional medicine and recorded as best medicine in Benjing Pungent. It can remove blood stasis,' promote blood circulation and arresting, and mostly used to cure abdominal pain, amenorrhea, mass in abdomen, spitting blood, bloody urine and hematochezia etc. It and selaginella pulvinata (Hook et Grev.) Maxim, are always accepted as Juanbai national standard material medicine in C.P. (I). Modern pharmacological experiment and clinicalstudies reveals it has a series of functions such as anticancer, antiinflammation, antivirus, easeing pain, lowering blood pressure, lowering blood sugar and enhancing human immunologic function etc. Internal and external scholars have done some on its chemical constituents and pharmacology works. But those works is mainly on its bisf lavone constituents which have cytotoxinic effect. However, in tradition, people most use its water-extracts.
