Objective:To dicusses the experimental study of effects of supplemented wuling san on serum uric acid and cascular endothelial function in hyperuricemia model rats, which would provide experimental basis for chassical prescription in treating and preventing hyperuricemia, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular diseases.Methods:48 Wistar male rats were divided randomly into 6 groups,8 rats per goup. They are normal group, model group, three treating groups(high-dose,middle-dose and low-dose) and control group.Except normal group, the elses received adenine and ethambutol hydrahloride by gavage. In the same time, three treating groups, administered supplemented wuling san with 10ml/kg,7ml/ka,4ml/kg. Control group was administered probenecid with 1.8ml/kg. Drugs were chronically administered to rats at AM 9:00-11:00 for 21 days. The blood were collected on the 8th,15th,22th day for examing SUA, ET-1 and NO.Result:SUA, ET-1 and NO, such as content as follows:normal group and model group were significantly different (p<0.05); model group and the group with supplemental wuling san in middle-dose were significantly different(p<0.05).Conclusion:Supplemental wuling san, especially in middle-dose group, has a good result in treating the hyperuricdmia, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular diseases.
