Optimism is a personality trait, the core of it is individual's positive expectations of future events and believe that a good thing is more likely to occur, expressed as a positive explanatory style. Self-awareness is the individual's own physical, psychological, and social awareness. Scientific and objective self-awareness help to improve the individual's optimism level, thereby affecting the individual's mental health. In this study, optimism and self-perception of the meaning, measurement tools and related research is reviewed, based on the positive qualities of a junior high school demographic characteristics and time from the core self-evaluation and self start emphasis on the cognitive perspective is optimistic characteristics of middle school students self awareness, to deepen understanding of the situation of middle school students to help them form a scientific and objective way of self-awareness, to lay the foundation for the cultivation of positive qualities, and promote the healthy development of the individualIn this study, life orientation test, the core self-evaluation questionnaire and circle test for the measurement tools to the city of Zhengzhou and Kaifeng, four secondary schools, 584 junior high school students as subjects, using variance analysis and correlation analysis on data collected by statistical method statistical analysis, the following conclusions(1) The middle school level of optimism is the class cadre of gender and whether there were significant differences in grade and whether the child does not exist significant differences. One girl's optimism level is significantly higher than boys, as a class cadre of students was significant higher than the optimism is not a class cadre of students. (2) The core of junior high school level of self-evaluation and optimism were positively related. Optimistic about the junior high level self-assessment in the core area, than the low level of the students have a higher positive self-evaluation.(3) In the time dimension of the self-evaluation, the junior high school level of optimism in the time dimension of the existence of disposable significant differences in time orientation dimension there are significant differences in the correlation dimension of time does not exist significant difference.
