This essay launches a investigation on 850 college students with a questionare consisted of General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES), Interaction Anxiousness Scale (IAS) and Social Ability Diagnoses Scale(SADS). Based on such investigation, it explores the characteristics of general self-efficacy, interpersonal communication ability and social anxiety, including their mutual relationships. The main results are as follows: 1.The overall level of general self-efficacy is quite high, and the mean score of GSES of male college students is higher than female counterparts, the mean score of GSES of art students is higher than that of science students. 2.The overall level of their interpersonal communication ability is quite strong, and there are remarkable differences between students from different majors and grades. The interaction between genders and grades has come to a prominent level. 3.The rate of students with high social anxiety is 16.6%. The interaction between genders and grades will affect their social anxiety. 4.General self-efficacy positively correlated with interpersonal communication ability but negatively correlated with social anxiety. 5.General self-efficacy and interpersonal communication ability can predict social anxiety. And general self-efficacy and social anxiety can predict interpersonal communication ability.
