The dialect in Guang Xi is quite complex, which makes the southwest mandarin there has more diversifications and characteristics than in other places. However, the exiting researches about southern mandarin in Guang Xi were mainly done in the areas of Liu Zhou and Gui Lin, while there was little studies on the area of West of Guang Xi. Lang Ping Village, Tian Lin county, is one of southwest mandarin dialect point located in west of Guang Xi. Because of its own geographical environment and language circumstance, it became a special dialect island of southwest mandarin. It is meaningful for us to study this dialect island, because it would give us insight into the characteristic study of different dialect islands, and provide important language materials for the wholly study of southwest dialect.We first describe the pronunciation, vocabulary and some expression of Lang Ping dialect, and then we do the comparisons among them. For the pronunciation, we compare the ancient one and modern one; for the vocabulary, we compare it with the mandarin. This study shows the characteristics of Lang Ping dialect by systematical depiction and integrated analysis. From the view of sociology, and basing on the exiting ethnological and anthropological research result about Lang Ping Han Ethnic Group, we find the reason of development and the specialty of this dialect island. The internal vitality of Lang Ping dialect is quite strong, and since southwest mandarin is still a popular dialect, it will exit for a long time. At the same time, it would be benefit for us to help the minority to learn our common language to known the characteristics of the dialect. What's more, it can give us some insight into the popularization of Mandarin.
