Study On Design Amusing Products For Elderly

The trend of the global population aging is increasingly obvious. The aging population is the major characteristic of human development in the 21 century. Now the aging population grows more rapidly than before and it bring a lot of influence to society, families and also the elderly. In 1990, WTO first raise Healthy Aging as a strategic goal. China has entered the aging society, the rapidly aging population and the quality of life of the old people became the important social issues in contemporary China.Economy and the market was in depression; they had no time for entertainment when they became adults as the state called for dedication; and they retired when the state's economic and political situation is ameliorating since the adoption of reform and opening-up policy. What is more, as one child families are increasing, and the 4+2+1 family mode is developing, young people have less time to take care of the old, resulting in the increase of old people leading a solidarity life. In particular, high-rise buildings are setting up barriers for the communication among them, so the recreation and communication is of great importance for them. They are in need of recreational products catering for their own physical and mental situation, and new interest to enrich and improve their life. However, the demand is still to be met.Nowadays, people pay a web wide attention to the edged, who is a very special community to the society. In fact, the designers had already attached importance to the problem that how to help old men keep fit. They explored and designed some products, such as edged nursling and medical appliance, the instruments for physical excises the establishments for convenience, security and some family appliances. Taking passed products into consider, most of which are design for disabled and paralysis people, while little for healthy and robust group. All this means designers should expend their outlook, not only help them to deal with difficulties but also explore a great deal of areas positively, for instance, entertainment, physical excises, traveling and culture education.Today, "ease in old age" tend to be "happy in old age", and the pension industry, medical and industrial production, the old education and entertainment industry will bring products for old people entertainment to achieve the industrialization.Aiming at the problems above and the purpose of improving life quality of the aged on their later years, this research put forward the topic about designing and developing entertainment products of the aged. Moreover, the research deeply developed the designing theory of certain entertainment product and raised some factors of thinking human natures about the entertainment products of the aged. Directing against the ways for leisure and the needs for entertainment products, the research summarized the designing direction of the aged in our country. The draft of this essay developed the designing of entertainment products about the special life experiences, psychological features and hobbies etc. of the aged in our country of modern society.
